So far so good....

Even though we are only 8 days into the new year these 8 days have been pretty great! I felt pretty good after my second treatment. I was still a bit sleepy and did have a tiny bit of nausea but nothing that my anti nausea meds couldn't handle. So still I don't have much to complain about. My white blood cell count was a little low after my treatment so I had to get a shot to boost my wbc count. BOY DOES THAT SHOT SUCK!!! Not only does it burn like hell when you are getting it, but it hurts for weeks after. My bones in my arm literally felt at times like someone was trying to snap them in half. My knees felt achy and I was a bit weaker than normal. Again, nothing too bad or that I can't handle. Treatment 3 is on Weds.

Some fantastic news...WE WON THE CRUISE!!! We will be departing from Pgh and flying into Tampa, FL on  Feb 27th. Our ship departs then and arrives back to Tampa March 3rd. We will be visiting Cozumel and Costa Maya. I CAN'T WAIT TO RELAX AND CATCH UP ON SOME SLEEP. Also some much needed snuggle and one on one time with my amazing husband, who has been trying his hardest to make sure I have all the help I need after my treatments. This cruise is definitely much needed for the hubby as well as myself. Both of us just could use some down time where we aren't running around to do things.
We just celebrated a good friends marriage last night. It took place in the church we were married in. It was so nice to be back there and really get to take it all in...again! This may have been the first wedding I've attended where I didn't cry. I think it was because I was too busy taking pictures. The reception venue was absolutely stunning. We are so happy we got to share in their special day! Congrats to our friends Bobby and Melissa. May you share in so much love together for the rest of your lives! Here is a view from the reception site...The La Mont, Mount Washington, Pa.
